Re: I'm getting a new Laptop.
The graphics card could possibly be a problem, I'd recommend a graphics card with about 1GB dedicated memory. I have 1GB dedicated and it works wonders :] (No graphics lag whatsoever)
I'd pay a little extra for a better graphics card, it will be worth it ^^

Thats a really good computer for a laptop!
I believe its #1 in my opinion.
I use a desktop. Bought it last year HP. Really great. NO Lag at all unless I fraps.
Overall, The Laptop is great. The video card needs to be atleast 1GB though...

Mhm
You are fine with everything else, computer-wise. Files in windows explorer will load up quickly and etc.
But if you are gonna get into gaming you have to consider the graphics card.

Re: I'm getting a new Laptop.
Thanks for the replies, I see I might have to update the video card since that's the usual problem for new computers, who look it in for gaming.
I did, but I'm tight on money and AlienWare is usually expensive (Over $,1000), from what I know.

Re: I'm getting a new Laptop.
Update: I gotten my laptop, 3 GB in total for the laptop but it also comes with a 4250 Radeon for the video card. Now it isn't bad but it isn't great either, from what I know. So now when I am playing combat arms in this computer it can run smoothly without any lag..but on 800x600 and low quality and it doesn't even sound that great I get some lag out of random. From what I know that's pathetic. I plan to either return the Laptop or get a new Video Card, So do you guys have any idea why it might be doing this with a new Laptop running Windows 7 I took some advice from Manneh but it didn't really improve the lag I get out of random.

Upgrading graphics cards on laptops is usually trickier than on tower computers. Most of the time (from what I've seen) they are hardwired to the motherboard and can't simply be interchanged.
As for the lag issue I have the same thing, its why I don't play regularly anymore.

Re: I'm getting a new Laptop.
Honestly, I'd just get a tower.
Unless you don't want to then for that I'd just ask them if the laptop is able to change cards etc.
